It is the objective of Public Works Staff to update the Pitkin County Asset Management Plan (AMP) every two years to ensure consistency and accuracy. The Board of County Commissioners adopted the last AMP revision in 2006. 3. Adoption of the AMP is necessary to promote the health safety and welfare of Pitkin County residents and visitors, to provide consistency of County standards and to set maintenance expectations for County residents and visitors. 4. The Board of County Commissioners has the authority to adopt the AMP under Colorado statutory and constitutional law including, but not limited to, the provisions of the Colorado Revised Statutes, Title 30, Articles 11 15, and 35, and Title 42, Article 4. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Pitkin County Board of County Commissioners that: 1. The 2008 Pitkin County Asset Management Plan is hereby approved and adopted. 2. Upon the effective date of this Ordinance, the 2006 Pitkin County Asset Management Plan is no longer in effect. 3. Copies of the Plan shall be retained at the Public Works Office, the Pitkin County Clerks Office and shall be available on Pitkin County's website. The AMP shall be available for review or purchase by any member of the public. 4. The enactment of this Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety or welfare, and it shall therefore be effective upon adoption.
